📋 Requirement Details

Req 2.12: Support application restriction including allowlists, blocklists, installation control, and usage limits.

⚙️ Technical Demonstration

IMTLazarus natively fulfills this requirement through a dedicated application management engine that supports cross-platform software control. The platform enables administrators to build targeted enforcement profiles utilizing either Blocklists (to restrict malicious or non-educational software) or Allowlists (to lock down endpoints to an approved baseline). It offers precise installation and execution oversight by cataloging system-level tools and storefront applications (e.g., Camera, Google Meet), allowing restrictions to apply across different operational contexts.

👨‍💻 Administrator Steps

Admin Setup Steps for Req 2.12

Enforce Fleet Restrictions: Click the green check icon to save the rule structure, then reference this profile inside your main device Configurations panel to instantly deploy application restrictions across the fleet.

Initialize Application Profile: Navigate to Admin > Setup > Filters > Application, and click the green Create New button.

Define Strategy and Target OS: Give the filter a name, select the target operating system platform (iOS, Android, Windows, or Linux), and select your enforcement strategy using the Block List or Allow List radio options.

Populate the Application Matrix: Move to the Apps List tab, search for the target programs, and click the + button to move software packages (e.g., Google NotebookLM, Camera) into your active policy column.
